Hi, I'm back and I want to be cheerful but I'm soooo sad. My mother is so old and so afraid that people are stealing from her. She calls every day to tell me that some one went through all her belongings. She says that all her favorite Christmas ornaments are gone. She says she hates it when people steal. She thought someone stole her remote and she found it in a pile of newspapers and insisted that someone else hid it from her just to be mean. Other times when she finds things she says, "Can you believe it? They brought it back!"

My basement flooded last weekend. I had to buy a new sump pump to replace our four-year-old one! We had to bring a ton of stuff up to living room and dining room. Lots of it was ruined and went in the trash. I'm not taking things back down until I'm sure the place is thoroughly dry. I need to throw out some shelves that have lots of mold on them but they're made of engineered wood and I can't lift them.

My oldest daughter and her family won't visit me at all for Christmas because she claims that my house is too small. I don't even want to have Christmas anymore because no one cares.

So maybe I won't decorate anything except my front window.

But if I ever get my house cleaned out I might start making Christmas ornaments for my mother. She's so sad that she can't find the felt gingerbread men that I made for her in 1970 or 1971.

No one ever wants to go to the cemetery to see their dad's grave. I don't understand. :elf2:

I hope things have been much better than this for everyone here! :my lord:

I think we start asking for them in October. I would give you mine now - but I have my house up for sale, so I'm not sure where I'll be! I like to have mine written out by Veteran's day, this way I can save my energy for Thanksgiving and decorating at the end of November. Then I'll mail them in early December.

Hello all,just relaxing at home after yesterday,glad i have two refrigerator's,lots of leftovers.:santa1:

So exhausted last night that I slept for 9 hours! Unheard of for me - usually I'm lucky to get 4 or 5 ! A little depressed as traditionally I would start decorating today - usually the outside lights would go up - but not with the move. Sale should be finalized in a week or so!
