I stopped into Michael's tonight to see if they still had the nutcracker I decided not to buy the other day and then later regretted it. They didn't. Their Christmas stuff was barely there- it was all Spring!

Nope. Tried a new gift shop and an outdoor mall last night and there was nothing that fit the bill.

I did settle on something, but it wasn't what I would have chosen normally.
I had saved ideas for everyone, but then in the moment some of them didn't seem like the right thing this year.
I have to try and solidify things earlier so I don't run into that again (that, and not be sick for half of the run up to Christmas!)
On the bright side, I do have some ideas for next Christmas' gifts.

Sorry to hear you were not up to par as the magic day approached. Early ideas are always great. I leave part of my office closet open to store next year's gifts. Already got one...On the bright side, I do have some ideas for next Christmas' gifts.
