Should I get new stockings?

My family has all different sizes and styles of stockings. The stocking I had for my childhood was a thin material and was looking rough (I think it has a hole in it). In my 20's I bought a few new ones- a bigger plush one with a fur top (it looks luxurious), one that looked like an elf stocking, a small traditional red and white (for when I requested no more candy) & a medium sized plush one with red and white stripes at the top. I kept the original one for memories and switch out the different stockings depending on my mood each year. I usually end up using the elf stocking one, as it's fun. But, I think I will use my original childhood one this year! I wonder if Santa will remember...

I do like the consistency that Papa has with his stocking. And I rather like seeing all the different types hung on the chimney. I agree with JollyElf- buy new ones and see how you feel about them when you hang them. You can always go back to the originals.

One of the few things I regret about my early days was not asking my parents for my "original" Christmas stocking to keep as the years went by. We all had the traditional red with white tops and Mom did our names in script with glue and glitter...
