Thread: Christmas music is therapy.

  1. #1

    Christmas music is therapy.

Dealing with a stressful time in my life, new baby, buying a home, older son who isn't used to having a baby around... All good things, mostly blessings, but still stressful. I've found that sitting at my desk with my favorite Christmas songs on has helped a lot to calm me down. Right now I'm listening to Sleigh Ride by the Boston Pops orchestra. It for sure helps to soothe my mind.

Anyone else notice the same effect from their favorite songs of the holiday? Or is it entirely to early for some to even bust out the Holiday tunes?

I love playing Christmas music when I'm cooking. I believe it brings good vibes and it travels through my food. I play holiday music year round without any complaints from the family

I definitely think Christmas music is therapeutic. Soothes the soul and cheers you up.
The holly's up, the house is all bright, The tree is ready, the candles alight; Rejoice and be glad, all children tonight.

I always put Xmas songs starting from 20 December to start feeling the holiday coming. Especially I listen to such music when I cook Xmas dinner

I too use it all season long. It soothes, inspires, relaxes and generally chases away any cloudy feelings. Depending on the reason, it can be traditional singing, instrumental, jazz style or even more modern, like Mannheim Steamroller...
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps, means a little bit more!"

Recently even got a Big Band style Christmas album downloaded. Good stuff...
