Seeing tha faces of children and friends this time of year and hearing strangers say "Merry Christmas"...
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps, means a little bit more!"

    I love that, too.

Using Christmas themed plates, bowls, glasses, spoons, etc.
The holly's up, the house is all bright, The tree is ready, the candles alight; Rejoice and be glad, all children tonight.

Yes, a festive table always brings out the spirit of the season...

Christmas scented candles, potpourri, etc. Certain scents can instantly bring you back to when you were a kid- like the scent of Christmas tree sap...ahhhh...one of my favorites!

Yes. The aromas of Christmas time can just whirl you away to a happy holiday moment. I have some things called Scentsicles. They are sticks (colored green) that come with their own hangers to place on trees, wreaths, etc. They have several scents and the one in my room right now is Snow Berry Wreath...

Sat in front of the fire last night with a mug of hot chocolate and watched a Hallmark Christmas movie with my wife (and four dogs)...

The signs and smells of Autumn. Then I temporarily pause for Halloween and the month of October. Then November and Thanksgiving are pretty much the beginning of the Christmas season (albeit different decorations). I just can't believe how short the Christmas season is. You have to be really mindful of each day or :::whoosh::: it's over.

I broke out my hot chocolate heater and bought some white hot chocolate, marshmallows and short bread to enjoy. I am impatiently waiting for it to snow so I can get real festive but I am beginning to feel the spirit!

Sounds cozy. Being in Canada, I'd imagine it won't be long now until you get snow.
