I haven't watched one of those live stage television productions, but I might tune in for this.

I saw the musical in New York a couple of years ago - it was FANTASTIC.

I started collecting the Christmas Vacation Dept. 56 series last year; Christmas Story is next!

Here's what I've got so for. I took the picture with my iPhone, so it's not all that clear. It's the Griswold house, Clark plugging in the lights, Cousin Eddie's RV and Cousin Eddy by the curb. I'd like to add the garage this year, along with Clark and Rusty pulling the lights from the boxes. Of course, I'd like to have them all, but I'll do it a little bit at a time.IMG_3075.JPG

I wanted to start collecting Dept. 56 Christmas Vacation, which is my husbands favorite movie but the pieces are so expensive. When I started the Christmas Story village, I always bought the pieces after the holidays at Sears when they were 50-75% off. They stopped stocking them a few years back. I also don't add pieces that were never shown in the movie. I have about 75% of all the pieces. I happy with it.
