I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas
on the mantel of the fireplace
A Christmas hug should last a lifetime
Use to be by the fireplace, but due to changes in living quarters, they now hang on stocking holders on the Living room bookcase and the same in the Library (so the dogs cannot get to them)...
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps, means a little bit more!"
We hand them over the fireplace and add little treats for Christmas morning.
Since we have several dogs, we hang them all over. All long as they are out of reach... lol.
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps, means a little bit more!"
We have brass clips that attach to the bricks of the fireplace and they hang from them. I could never get the stocking holders that sit on top of the mantle to actually hold them.
The holly's up, the house is all bright, The tree is ready, the candles alight; Rejoice and be glad, all children tonight.
I have a couple on the mantle, but I use the very heavy flat metal ones...
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps, means a little bit more!"
Did anyone ever hang their stocking on their bedpost when they were a kid?
The holly's up, the house is all bright, The tree is ready, the candles alight; Rejoice and be glad, all children tonight.
I've heard of that, but no. We did not have an "Official" place to hang them, so they showed up filled and under the tree Christmas morning when I was growing up. In our home, they hang empty on various stocking holders throughout the house and if when filled they can still hold the weight, cool. Otherwise, under the tree they go as well...
