Do you think your mum will come back this year?

Most people can't wait to get out and garden. I'm dreading it. I have to treat EVERYTHING for fungal infection and should have done it already, but can't apply it when there will be rain. And it's raining frequently. I need some warm sunshine to energize me!
The holly's up, the house is all bright, The tree is ready, the candles alight; Rejoice and be glad, all children tonight.

I can understand that. We are getting a mix these days. For this Spring, I am thinking green onions and peppers. That way I am certain they will be eaten... lol

I planted seed for kale, red cabbage, purple potatoes, blue corn, yellow corn, lettuce, mustard greens, green onions and grape tomatoes. Between my cats, the birds, the rabbits and I'm not sure what else, I hardly have anything growing. I finally fenced off a small portion, just so I can have something! I was really looking forward to the corn, but I think something's taking the seeds from underneath, since I've been watching the ground for disturbance. I'm trying to deter the animals by using garlic essential oil around the plants, but with the frequent rain it keeps getting washed off. The smell is really making me want a salad, though.

I did place in planters, green peppers and green onions. The onions came as a seed strip! Very handy. I also stuck a few kernels of corn in a very large planter just for fun. The peppers and onions are growing, we will see on the corn. I hope you get enough to have made your efforts worthwhile...
