That's so cold, Bishop & Elf_Erv! Were you planning on traveling anywhere for the holiday?
Winter Storm Elliott is only supposed to bring us rain- high of 55F tomorrow, but dropping down to 10F at night, so possibly a flash freeze. Christmas Eve and Day will be in the 20's as a high, but sunny. I would have liked a white Christmas, but glad travel won't be as much of an issue and REALLY glad not to be shoveling in such cold temps! Keeping our fingers crossed that we don't lose power over the holiday due to the high winds.

The holly's up, the house is all bright, The tree is ready, the candles alight; Rejoice and be glad, all children tonight.
Same here Mistletoe and your right with temps dropping we'll have lots of ice.hopefully people will use common sense.
No, we are hunkered down these past two days. Breakfast in the morning and a couple of stops before headed back home for Christmas Eve & day. Currently it is -8 with a wind chill of -32 degrees. Looking better on Chhristmas Eve & day, plus a nice warm up (finally) the last week of 2022...
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps, means a little bit more!"
snowing, and 25 degrees
Currently we are at 5 degrees with light snow. Expected high of 35 with the wind picking up some...

We had 2 days of below zero temps and we're back up to the 40's. Haven't had snow for a long time.
And the groundhog said we'd have an early Spring.

A bit better than it has been. Today is a high of 36 with temps remaining in the 35+ range for the next few days. It will be nice to see some of the snow melt, but not so fast as to cause flooding...

Today we will once again get both above freezing temps and some snow. Oh well, Spring is not for another two weeks...

Well, it appears the groundhog was wrong. I don't really call 40's Spring. BUT, it's warm enough for our Spring greens to continue coming up and the occasional snow to melt quickly. So all is okay.
