:tree: What have you done today that is Christmassy?

It seems that just about everyday, from now until Christmas Day, I'll do something to prepare for the big day. What have you done today?

I finished addressing/signing my Christmas cards and now I'm looking through the Seventh Avenue catalog for gift ideas.

I just noticed that my Christmas cactus is beginning to bud. It hasn't flowered in about 5 years! It has bright pink buds. I've been looking at the Hallmark Christmas movie listings. Starts tonite at 10pm!

Had a very old and dear friend over today for about 2 hours that I hadn't seen in 8 yrs. She is one of the very few people who loves the same kind of Christmas music that I do. I shared as much of my favorites with her as I could, but when you have upwards of at least 20 of them, 2 hours is like no time at all. It was so nice to enjoy such beautiful music with a kindred spirit and also great to have a good excuse to play Christmas music well before Thanksgiving.

    That sounds so nice.
The holly's up, the house is all bright, The tree is ready, the candles alight; Rejoice and be glad, all children tonight.

I put up the outdoor Christmas lights! I really wish the 70F degree weather had stuck around an extra day for that. I'm putting just white lights up this year (I alternate). Had to buy all new ones, since pretty much all the strands that I had were faulty, so I have 2000 lights up and ready to go for December 1st (they were all lighting when I tested them and they better all still light in a couple weeks!)!

I also listened to my first Christmas music on the radio today!

Good job mistletoe! Yes, it has definitely gotten much cooler here! I have a tradition going with my outside lights - they wait until Dec 24th to start shorting out - usually an hour or so before the guests arrive!
