    Non-Alcoholic Green Punch

    Non-Alcoholic Green Punch
    1 container of Lime Sherbet
    1 can of pineapple juice
    2 liter of Ginger Ale

I can't find lime (or any flavor) sherbet this time of year! Does anyone know of a substitute?

Do they sell those frozen Italian Ices where you live? I would think a lime, lemon or pineapple Italian ice might be an okay substitute. I think Hagen-Daz has a lemon ice cream. That would probably be okay too, but that might get a little pricey.

Oh, yummy; I wish I had a Hagen-Daz lemon ice cream. I already went to the store. I think I'll try melting green popsicles just a little and pour Seven-Up over them. Hey, I'm desperate! I have a can of limeade concentrate in case that doesn't work or maybe it can be added. Thanks for the idea. I want to try that someday.

Funny...almost every night for a snack, I have a dish of orange sherbet and a bottle of 7UP. I just keep adding the 7UP as I eat, and when I'm done with the sherbet, I have an awesome orange punch to drink!!

So what did you end up doing? How did the punch turn out?

I forced the popsicles off their sticks and when they were slushy, I added the 7-Up. The kids all liked it --- no surprise. When my son came with his family on Sunday, he drank coffee. I was happy that he burst out laughing when he took a mug out of the cupboard:

    I'm glad it worked out!
Now that the warmer weather is here, I took a look in the ice cream isle, and I remembered this post. I thought it might just be a regional thing that you couldn't get the sherbert, but I'm not seeing it in the stores here either. I can't believe they've stopped making it, but it seems to have vanished.

We have all kinds of sherbet up here in MN. All year long, too. Weird.

EDIT: Oh, and just to clarify...it's sherBET, not sherbert.

Right you are Mike. I knew the correct spelling but had a brain freeze.
