    Today is...

    Stir Up Sunday!

Time to mix your Christmas puddings!

OK, I buy ready made ones, but I thought I'd remind you...

I think your Christmas puddings are similar to our fruitcakes and I will be baking mine next Friday!

I haven't had a Christmas Pudding in years. Does anyone know if they make a decent Prefab one? It doesn't necessarily have to be an American Brand. I have a World Market near by, and they carry different International foods. They are more expensive than just going to a Supermarket, but it's Christmas. I can splurge a little.

How nice- I didn't know there was a tradition. It's much more fun doing things when you think of everyone else doing them along with you!

I love fruitcakes and some pudding recipes. I would love to make some this Christmas for my love ones but I'm quite afraid to ruin the traditional taste of a fruitcake. I think I still need more time and experience in making my own cupcake before I can offer some to my family.

I've seen Panettone, Stollen and Lebkuchen but never a steamed pudding in the U. S. stores. Sorry. At Tyson's Corner, there used to be Seibt's Konditorei but they wouldn't have the Christmas Puddings you're referring to. Most Americans don't even know what a Christmas Pudding is because we all expect pudding to be soft and not solid. You know, like the vanilla and chocolate pudding sold in plastic cups in the dairy section.

I don't know if you have Lidl or Aldi stores there, but they do a range of european Christmas specialities, and they are very nice!
So let the raucous sleigh bells jingle,
Hail our dear old friend kris kringle,
Driving his reindeer across the sky.
Don't stand underneath when they fly by.

There are Aldi stores here in the states. My Mom has many located near her, but we don't have any nearby, so I've never been to one.

Here in the midwest, Aldi doesn't have the best of reputations.
    I love Outdoor Christmas Lights!!
