Do kids still track Santa on Christmas Eve? Every Christmas Eve, my family would go to my mom's parents' farm in upper East Tennessee. The house was small, maybe about 1,000 square feet at most, and there were at least 40 of us there. On the way home, Dad would turn the radio on WBIR out of Knoxville and the DJ would tell of Santa's whereabouts in between songs. Every time the DJ updated Santa's status, my parents would comment about how much closer Santa was and that we needed to hurry and get home so we could be asleep in time.
