Heavy rain overnight. Overcast now. Rain expected off and on over the next 4 or 5 days. A little worried about Hurricane Joaquin as NYC is in the projected path. Bringing back memories of Hurricane Sandy and Tropical Storm Irene. We lost power for 4 days with Sandy and 6 days with Irene. Irene was particularly devastating to my community. It washed out 2 small, but key, bridges; destroyed the commuter rail lines through town for months; flooded all major highways and hundreds of houses. Sandy was not as bad for us here - just a lot of trees down. Don't want to go thru that again!

Fall is HERE! High today of 64. Sunny with a mild breeze. Beautiful day for sweatshirts and a walk.
    I love Outdoor Christmas Lights!!
