We are going to my brother's. The main things on the menu will be:

Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes (<-- fantastic)
    Squash Soup (<-- equally fantastic)
Mom's Homemade Pumpkin Ravioli (<-- ugg, I am getting weak in the knees)
Deep Fried Turkey (<-- which I will be doing for the first time)

I am sure there will be more (much more) but that is what I am waiting for at the moment.
"I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys." ~Charles Dickens

It is a delicious casserole using canned corn, saltines, pimento, onion and milk. It is always the first thing to go! I will post a recipe later.

Well I am doing Thanksgiving at my house for one last time this year. The menu will be similar to the one I posted in 2013 - but will be scaled down quite a bit - as there will only be 5 of us. My younger daughter is spending Thanksgiving in Las Vegas with her girlfriends. Because we are moving, we only invited my Mother-in-law and her man-friend. It should be an interesting scene as I am using all disposables for cooking and serving, and most of my house will be packed up by then!
