    Well said Suzanne..
I do not know, even if I got the movie 3-years ago, I ve never said: I wanna watch the ''Elf''.
To be honest, its with all my Christmas dvds, but, I never watch it, except the first time I did..

I was expecting to hate it but I really love it! I put it up there with Christmas Vaction, a Christmas Story and Home Alone. I kind of wish it had been made about a decade sooner. The reason I say that is because I would have loved to see John Candy play the part of Buddy. I have no idea if the script was sitting around that long or if John Candy was ever thought of, but I think he would have been a riot in the role.

    :santa:

Santa: I've been to New York thousands of times.
    Buddy: Really?
    Santa: Mm-hmm.
    Buddy: What's it like?
Santa: Well, there are some things you should know. First off, you see gum on the street, leave it there. It isn't free candy.
    Buddy: Oh.
Santa: Second, there are, like, thirty Ray's Pizzas. They all claim to be the original. But the real one's on 11th. And if you see a sign that says "Peep Show", that doesn't mean that they're letting you look at the new toys before Christmas.

Buddy: We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup.

u cant force your self to like a movie either u do or you dont ,
