    :gingerbread: Mom's Spiced Nuts

    3 egg whites slightly beaten
    2 tsp water
    24 oz salted peanuts
    1 cup almonds
    1 cup walnuts
    1 3/4 cup sugar
    3 Tbsp Pumpkin pie spice
    3/4 tsp salt
    Raisins (optional)

    beat egg whites til foamy add nuts and water stir gently to coat
    COmbine sugar pie spice and salt. Add to nuts and stir gently to
    coat. Spread into 2 greased cookie sheets. Bake uncovered at 300 for
    20-25 minutes til lightly browned. Stir every 10 minutes. cool, store in
    air tight container.

    I made this recipe with two cans of mixed nuts today. I over cooked them but they are good. try not to over brown them if you try them. Hubby likes them to.
