Sweet potato (I think in America they're called yams, but I might be wrong?) curry. Yummy!

Yams and sweet potatoes are actually two different types of tubers - very similar however. Both are very popular here this time of year - both names are used.

I baked the jam filled crumb bars again. I didn't really like the way they came out the other day, but both of my daughters loved them and begged me to make them again!

I had heard that before - and that real yams are from Africa and aren't even related to the sweet potato? Do you know why Americans call sweet potatos yams? I had wondered before but never really looked into finding out why

Yams and sweet potatoes are often used interchangeably - that is how similar in taste they are. I always call sweet potatoes - sweet potatoes and call yams -yams! I think most Americans call them by the proper name! I think that yams have become much more available than sweet potatoes so you hear about them more often.
