    Baking with the children today, just made a batch of Mince Pies, now I'm attempting a fructose free alternative for my daughter who is fructose intolerant. Sweet parsnip and pumpkin pie coming up... I hope it tastes okay!

    I've never had homemade fruitcake before, but I imagine it is much better than the usual store bought kind (which I don't care for.) I think you ought to make more and send us each a piece. I'll be waiting for mine to arrive in the next couple of days.

    HaHa - my husband is crazy for my fruitcake - so there won't be any left to send. Homemade is FAR superior (and expensive to make)! You wouldn't even realize that they are both fruitcakes!
