Those non christmas films that have become a part of christmas...

Two of the films that I'll watch again this season as they will be inevitably be shown are The Great Escape and The Italian Job (the proper 1969 original not the 2003 remake).
So let the raucous sleigh bells jingle,
Hail our dear old friend kris kringle,
Driving his reindeer across the sky.
Don't stand underneath when they fly by.

Bernard and The Genie for me. It doesn't come on telly but it SHOULD. I watched it every single Christmas growing up and it makes me feel sooo Christmassy.

This one occasionally gets shown, and I watch it every time I can. This was one of the first films I saw and the sight of the Dalek rising out of the Thames had a lasting effect on me...

I have the grandaddy of them all: It's A Wonderful Life. The only thing "Christmassy" is the fact that they are standing next to a Christmas tree at the end. The movie itself has nothing to do with the holiday. It's a reflection on life, and how we impact those around us. I think the reason it has become a Christmas classic is because it gives us a sense of warmth and joy that we associate with the holiday season in general.

Correct Mike - just like "The Bells of St. Mary's". I actually think "It's a Wonderful Life" is more Christmassy!

Die Hard is a must for me. Although I consider them both Christmas Movies, The Family Stone and Love Actually too.

Love Actually, The Holiday, and The Family Stone.
Not really Christmas movies, but I watch them during the holidays anyway.

I have never seen Love Actually. I agree with you Chantelle - I consider The Family Stone to be a Christmas movie. Even theough the story surrounds the inter-relationships of the family - the entire movie is set at Christmas time.
