Warm and fuzzy memories of Christmases past...

It seems hard to believe that most of us were alive back then and can remember a world so similar, yet so different, to that of today. As an example I give you the Argos catalogue from 1976, midway in the Decade That Style Forgot, a time before computers and mobile phones... Yes such a time existed! You may well have been given some of these items for christmas...

If you have any similar links please share them as I love this retro stuff!
So let the raucous sleigh bells jingle,
Hail our dear old friend kris kringle,
Driving his reindeer across the sky.
Don't stand underneath when they fly by.

Hey Mole , In 1976 I was a Senior in High School what a grand time to be alive

When I was a child we could not wait for the Sears Wish Book to come out

Here is a site with many old Holiday Catalogs

'I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future!' Scrooge repeated, as he scrambled out of bed. 'The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. Oh, Jacob Marley! Heaven, and the Christmas Time be praised for this! I say it on my knees, old Jacob, on my knees!' (Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol)

Wow! That brings back memories. I remember some of those toys in my house growing up.
