They look like gumballs but I can't remember ever using gumballs on a gingerbread house because you can't really bite into them and eat with the rest of the cookie... maybe round jelly beans?

Well, if I wanted to eat a gingerbread cookie, I'd scrape all the junk off of it!They taste better plain, IMO.

They kind of look like skittles. Or maybe those were more oval, they don't sell them here anymore.
