    Appetizers

(These aren't really spicy as the name implies)

    Spicy Dog Bites
1 (16 oz.) pkg. cocktail franks
    ½ c. currant jelly
    ½ c. chili sauce
    1 tsp. prepared mustard
    1 tsp. dried minced onion

    Serve warm.

HP Books APPETIZERS by Mable Hoffman, p. 23

I make something very similar with meatballs instead of cocktail franks and canned cranberry sauce instead of jelly. When I first heard the recipe I was skeptical, but I just threw everything in the crockpot and went for it. It's goes over really well at a potluck or party. I get the frozen meatballs from Ikea. I've found a lot of prefab frozen meatballs are nasty, but the Ikea ones are pretty good and they go really well in this recipe.
