I always use lights on the mantel - candles can't be used continuously.

When I need to get shopping done- online. When I'm just enjoying the season- stores- preferably in a charming outdoor mall with lots of character and Christmas music playing in the lanes.
As a decoration- Christmas bells or candy canes?
