    Secret Santa

At work we do a Secret Santa, and get our gifts handed out on the last day of work which of course this year will be Dec 23. Our budget is £5, and I've only been working there for just a year so I haven't really got a clue what my colleagues like. So anybody got any ideas of presents to get that women of all ages would like??

If it's a secret Santa, I assume you know the name of the individual you are buying for. If this is the case - try to do some spying to get an idea of what she likes. If it is a grab bag and you don't know who will be getting the gift then go for something Christmassy - a special ornament or a food gift

I'd go with an ornament either way. Maybe a "Christmas Pickle" ornament.

A pair of one-size-fits-all stretchy thermal gloves?
So let the raucous sleigh bells jingle,
Hail our dear old friend kris kringle,
Driving his reindeer across the sky.
Don't stand underneath when they fly by.

I agree...to me an ornament ia slways a good gift and you can put as much into that as you want...I always appreciate an ornament!

I would also go for an ornament. You and your collegues are not close friends yet, as you say, so they shouldn't expect much either. And what are the most beautiful and cutest things you can buy for 5 pounds just before Christmas? Whatever that has something to do with Christmas of course and it will be a nice souvernir.
But I also love the gloves The Mole is talking about Last year there was a little hype within our family about hand warmers in a Christmasy shape. So it was useful and connected to winter and celebration at the same time
