    :tree:

Snowflakes were falling silently on the street...
Despite the freezing outside, Mary knew that she had to hurry because it would soon get dark.

It was Christmas Eve and she saw happy families in all of the houses she passed on her way home.
Mary was a bit sad on this particular Christmas Eve because she missed her family and did not know where they were.

Suddenly a bright light shown in the distance and some girls started singing Carols in the central square of the town..
It was the night of the Christmas tree light up....

Mary walked towards the bright ligths that shone in the Christmas Tree. She felt her heart being filled with hope for the for the first time in a long while. It had been a difficult year for Mary. She was an orphan since last Christmas and she now lived with her grumpy uncle who hated Christmas.

She thought to herself with tears running down her cheeks "Could I really find my family ?"
That was her dream. To find her family. She couldn't stop thinking about them, especially now, during the holidays. Christmas had always been their favorite time of the year, filled with so much joy, caroling, wonderful smells, hugs and love. Oh, she missed them so...

In that moment Mary had an idea. One idea that could make both her and her grumpy uncle so much happier if it worked.

Lost in her thoughts, she headed for the church..
It was Christmas Eve and everyone could already hear the Christmas Bells ringing.........

when she came to the church she saw a lot of people with their families, smiling and talking about Christmas joy.She felt so lonely. When the priest appeared she decided to sit.

Mary was strongly thinking about the day when she could finally find her real family......
A young boy, sitting near, smiled at her...

At first Mary did not really notice the little boy, but when she looked closely she saw that he was surrounded by light, because...

He looked like an angel.Suddenly, she began to feel a strange warmth in her heart...

She was sure she had already seen him before...

"Yes", Mary thought, this boy was in her dream of some nights ago...

"You will find them if you really want to." She blinked a snowflake out of her eye, but when she looked again he had vanished. She was confused now. Finding them would be a difficult task: So many places that they might be; so few leads to follow; but unless she beagn soon even those scant hopes would soon fade. A sudden determination grew within her; she was going to begin the search right now.

So let the raucous sleigh bells jingle,
Hail our dear old friend kris kringle,
Driving his reindeer across the sky.
Don't stand underneath when they fly by.

As her thoughts were racing, the priests ongoing sermon suddenly tapped into her consciousness. "You will encounter what you seek tonight under the brightest star."
