Would you plant it in your yard afterward? Or keep it as a houseplant?
The holly's up, the house is all bright, The tree is ready, the candles alight; Rejoice and be glad, all children tonight.

If I can keep it on the smaller side, in the yard. Then decorate it for 2024...
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps, means a little bit more!"

That's what I would want, too.

The main reasons I have artificial in my home, is not just the lack of watering or pine needles, but instead the fact that they will last far longer and if some of your ornaments are on the heavy side, they can hold them without sagging...

Trees this year are once again artificial. But with the addition of two dogs, the main tree is in the Harry Potter Library and for the main portion of the house, I bought a 4.5' tree and set it to the rear of the dining room table. Far enough away from swishing, table clearing tails... lol Dining room tree 2.jpg

Yes, I definitely appreciate the ability to keep them up a long time. I forgot how the real trees don't hold up the heavy ornaments. We used to have to have them more toward the trunk, hidden inside the tree. Or just not on the tree at all.

Thanks. It will do, but I can't help but feel just a bit depressed over the size. Guess the "child" in me just prefers a larger tree... lol

That's how I felt the first year we went artificial and used a tree my sister had. I think it was somewhere around 5' and on the thin side (on the floor).

It can make it rough the first time you go smaller. The only exception I have had was when in the military, my barracks room would not support anything above a 3' tree...
