Here are some things my 8 year old (will be 9 this Christmas) asked for (she didn't get everything and some things she got for her birthday instead):

    • Computer games
    • Scooter
    • Make up (play makeup) and then I teach her how to apply it the way you would like her to wear it
    • Webkinz
    • Ty Girls
    • Chocolate Maker
    • Board Games (they have some which are pink in colour - Boutique Monopoly, Girl Talk Jenga)
    • Music CDs (like Hannah Montana)
    • Crafting kits (she likes crafts)
    • Clothes - my daughter loves fashion

Hope this hleps a bit - and good luck.

I think I was 9 when my dad bought me a little gold ring. I loved it! he wrapped it in a ton of newspaper. I had to unwrap about 50 layers to get to it.showing presents

I would suggest for the silver jewelry piece you get her a charm bracelet with say 4 charms already on it. Then over the years she can add to it by either buying her own that she picks out, or you can tell relatives about it and they can get her new charms for birthdays and upcoming Christmases. If I had a girl, that's what I would do anyway.

    Little Christmas Tree Gifts

Ideal for an 8 year old or indeed an 80 year old!

Little Christmas trees, supplied in postal tubes which can be planted into a pot or directly into the ground. Our 2 children received them as gifts from 'Santa' about 3 years ago, we planted them in large pots and now they are about 3' tall (the trees not the children!).

The kids love 'looking after' the trees and watching them grow and each year we bring them in for Christmas and decorate them.

Available from The Little Christmas Tree Company

I like that idea for an 8 thru 18 year old as long as the girl likes to wear jewelry!

Toys R Us has an awesome set called Totally Me! Ultimate Jewelry Kit for about $25.00.
