I loved that Thanks Giving episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, where Buffy tries to cook her first Thanks Giving meal by herself with her friends. Pangs, it was called. It was hilarious!
For us, Thanksgiving is a special holiday, but it also represents the "official" beginning of the Christmas season. That is always the night we turn on our outdoor Christmas lights for the first time! We always decorate the house and put up the tree on the day after Thanksgiving.
    I love Outdoor Christmas Lights!!

Homemade Pumpkin Pie with Reddi Whip!

My answer is still the same, but I don't eat the pie or Frosted Cranberry Salad now that I'm diabetic.

I just finalized my Thanksgiving menu. I really only change up the vegetable and breads - everything else stays the same. So it will be green beans almondine and cranberry nut bread this year.

I earned my free turkey from the grocery store - does your store do this promotion?

You've never had scallopped potatoes? It was my Mom'a apecialty. It is basically thin sliced potatoes baked in a cream sauce with butter. I make scallopped corn for Thanksgiving. It is delicious! I will have to post the recipe this year!
