I don't decorate specifically for Halloween. I used to decorate for fall, but I'm thinking of skipping that this year. The kids don't "Trick or Treat" after dark in our community. It seems weird to me that they come during daylight hours, but it's safer for children that way.

How many days before Halloween, do you start decoration?

I try to start around Oct 1st as FL is always hot. That is one of the reasons I don't do real pumpkins any more because they rot in a few days. I put fall and Halloween stuff out so after Halloween I leave the fall things out until Christmas decorating.

Ok, I'll take a look at Wiki.

    Thanks!!
I'll have to make a history of Halloween thread and post some links to good sites I've found. I love Halloween and enjoy reading about it, though I will say a lot of infomation about and history of it has been misguided and changed over the years.

Honestly, I do not know much about Halloween, only have read some things from Internet..

So, I think it would be great if you did something like that, Bob.

A few "crazies" have already put out their outdoor Halloween decorations! Most people start decorating on the first day of the month that a holiday occurs in. Decorating for Easter is a little difficult if you have a lot of snow.

I apologize in advance if anyone else has already put out Halloween decorations. You can't be a "crazy" if you love Christmas!
