    I always put candy canes on the tree...the fruity kind. The kids in my family love them!! It puts more fun into decorating the tree as well!

    When I was little, we always had candy canes on the tree as well as chocolate balls, and gingerbread men. After a few days my mom would have to buy/bake more. This went on for years until one year she announced a new rule of "Nobody eats off the tree until after Christmas." LOL

    I'm going with acrylic candy canes and glass chocolate bars. But I've been known to hang real chocolates on my Hungarian tree.

    Maybe I'll buy some "szaloncukor" this year.
