    My mom always put candycanes on our tree as i do also it's a part of christmas they go on after the tree is finished being decorated.

    I might buy 1 box this year who knows I always end up with too many left over after christmas!

    Candy canes offer a "cool", sharp contrast to my tree which is decorated mostly in gold. So the red/white really has an effect and stands out, sort of.

    I have put them on the tree, but usually don't. Most years I place them hanging in the Christmas stockings.
