I'm gonna send him to your house this Christmass, and let the reindeer hooves on the roof keep somebody else awake, for a change. :)

I love that! I have it on the "Christmas with Dino" CD. Actually, I like the whole album. Hard not to like Dean Martin.
I've been thinking about this for the longest time, and I think the only answer I can give is that I love Christmass because it is an expression of love in its purest form. It may be expressed...
Well, according to what my parents have said, we didn't have a lot of money when I was a little kid, but I never noticed it. Wasn't so much the price of a present that mattered to me, even then.

Man, this is hard! It'd be easier to list the ones I *don't* like! I can say that most were written in the '40s, with the notable exception of Merry Christmas Darling. Though the lyrics to it were...
Rainy, foggy, and around 50F. Now if it'd just drop about 30 degrees!
Well, as bad as it is to see so much of this, you all give me hope that there are still people out there who get it, who love the season for all its glory and beauty. And for that, thank you! :)...
Well thank you! That just might get me to go out and cut one. :) I've seen quite a few really nice pines growing out here, in places they'd never grown before. :tree:
I wonder about people, too....
And Merry Christmass all, from me! (Always loved that old spelling for some reason, in case anyone wondered. :) )
Well, I'm late with everything this year. I finally got all my Christmass LPs in pretty good shape, that just had to come first. Really, I'd like to start decorating in August or so, lol. Seriously,...
Oh, I love that! Some Christmass things are just so cute. :)
Wow, that's nice! Wish I had your ambition, lol. Though Nobody could see them from the road (I'm in the country). Also wish I had some of that snow. :)
Thank you. It probably sounds crazy, but I was feeling a little down today and this made my day. :)
Merry Christmas Darling. It's a safe bet that's *always* among my recently listened to songs! Love it, and everything on Christmas Portrait. :carols:
I've always wanted to buy one of those. As far as I can remember, I've never heard one. From what I've been able to dig up, Firestone got the idea from Goodyear. Seeing the success of those albums,...
It got crazy cold here for a few days, kept me busy cutting, splitting and hauling firewood. Back around 60 for highs now, till Monday. Crazy weather. All in all, I still love the cold! :snowman:
Oregongirl, I hope somebody can help, things like that can drive ya crazy trying to remember! It just doesn't ring any bells with me. All I could think of was the Vienna Boy's Choir.

Always a winner! And now I'm listening to it, too. Thanks for the reminder! :waving: Seems like it'd be fun living in Connecticut at Christmass, what with the site of the inn (in the movie) being...
I was thinking I've heard that on an ad for something, too. Jimmy Durante isn't the kind of thing you hear every day on television, so it stands out. But I have no idea what it was! Hmm...
Love it! I haven't seen it here, either. Coke has a history of great Christmass ads. I wish there were more like this! :) :santa1:
Oh, that does seem strange with the summer clothes, etc. Though I can remember a few times it was in the 60s or (very rare) 70s here. But it sounds like you have the best of both worlds with...
Ack! I'd go crazy without winter. Or crazier, lol. Love being out in the snow! :snowman:
It's entirely too warm here for me. Once September gets here, I start thinking snow! Not that it snows often in September here, but I can always dream! At least I've had a few opportunities to fire...
These are actually 3 albums, but were my favorites then and still are. The Columbia/Goodyear Great Songs of Christmas, albums 3, 4 and 5, released in 1963, '64 and '65 respectively.
Sometime in...
There's a Pepsi ad which ran for several years that has to be among the best. A little kid, a stuffed bunny and a bunch of the "gimmicky" toys. Some of you may remember it. I absolutely love this.
