Hi Tink! I've been staring at the snowman for minutes trying to figure out why it looked so nutty.
Now I get it... :elf1:
Awwww! :) That is the most original snowman I've ever seen!

Whoa Mike!! Your tree is gorgeous!!! Love, love it!! Now you can sip wine by the fire and enjoy the beauty...of course the fire being your tree.
Uh oh, I just noticed you missed a spot.

Thank you ElfGirl! :) Looking forward to seeing yours next month!
I'll be posting pics of my other large tree - the 'family' tree - when it goes up, sometime around Thanksgiving.
It's smart to keep on as much as possible - doing thousands of lights takes a LOT of time! I think with all your lights, it would never compact because the wiring eventually becomes very bulky. :)...
I do two main trees - one that has multi color lights and ornaments (100% themed) and the other is white lights and family keepsake ornaments. The latter's color scheme is mish'mash. :elf3:
I don't bring many extras with me. Usually my only additions are a bottle of water, tylenol and tissues. I count on dining out and running occasional trips to the car to ease the load.
Good...
3,650 lights??? *low whistle* I can't imagine how bright that must be. :)
Great job coming along, Mike! So are you working with an manufacturer pre-lit tree or one that you wired yourself and left in place post-season? I'm like you - I can't have too many lights!

Nuh uh! I still have a whole 'nother tree to put up! That one is going to hold the family keepsake ornaments. :)
*jaw drops!!*
If a christmas tree falls (under the weight of its decoration load) in a forest, does it make a sound? lol!
Yep - LED in a traditional mini-light shape. :) Nice choice!
Yes, but can you hook up the penguin and snowmen to Metallica?

Okay seriously, that is so awesome! You did a fab job on everything. :)
I had to look closer - I was thrown because each bulb seemed really, really bright! Are your new LED lights the larger bulb size or are they tiny?
Isn't it odd how obsessed I am over bulb size?...
Ah! Sorry! C7's are a bulb size. They are popular in landscape lighting and occasionally on Christmas trees. Here are some pics:

It's a beautiful tree! :) Are you using C7 lights or C7-style LED bulbs? I love old fashion bulbs and now I'm contemplating running a few strands through my other tree, in combination with the...
Steph and HomeAlone2 - thank you, too! :)
*hugs!* :) Thank you girl!
DH is still in amazement, as well. He saying that this is his favorite tree yet!
Thank you Tink! :) Is your tree up yet? *must dig through threads more*
I'm truly flattered! Thank you! :) My husband and I are big fans of multicolor trees...as you can tell...lol! They're really "happy" looking trees.
When I get my tree skirt out and under the...
Thank you Donna! :) I love the multi bright collection at Target, too!
I did about 10 strands of garland for the tree, which sounds excessive but my tree is nearly 60" at the base and almost...
I bought a lot of presents recently. But Christmas stuff...I bought a santa ornament last month. Not too exciting, eh? :)
This one is especially for OLGA! Sorry that I haven't been around much lately - my class load is pretty heavy and I don't have much internet time.
BUT - I had time to start my Christmas trees...
I have one with Snoopy on his doghouse that I love.
Okay, here are my 2 new purchases! These are both gifts. I love the tree topper!

Your daughter's tree skirt is gorgeous! I love how simple the design is and clean the colors are.
My favorite tree skirt is a latch-hook made by me and mom in the 70's. Well, mostly mom...lol....
