Whatever can be made ahead is made ahead. If it can be frozen (stuffing for example) it is made well ahead. The day before I am cooking my tail off. I have a counter top roaster that I usually put...
I enjoy cooking when I'm in the mood. I have thought about just getting everything premade from the Grocery store or Honey baked, but I just can't do it. I sort of see the dinner as a way of telling...
I'm kind of surprised nobody has asked this yet, but how different were your Covid Christmas ( or thanksgiving or New Year) dinners? Did you just scale it down and do a turkey breast instead of a...
Thank you! It is appreciated!:elf3:
Between work and Covid, I haven’t had a real Christmas for 3 years! I’m definitely getting twitchy! I bought a boatload of new decorations after last Christmas. I have also purchased new dishes,...
I think I have the room, but being that I'm in a condo, I think it would feel kind of cluttered.
I think that's awesome!
A flocked Christmas tree. I have never had one before. I’m still keeping my old tree. Now I have a choice from year to year.
That's great!:elf3:
I was just thinking about this today, and while I don't think they actually have this in the movie, it would be easy to pick up some Deli sandwiches and a Junior's cheesecake.
I also thought to do...
Went back to Micheal's where it's now 80 percent off. I got a wreath 3 nutcrackers, more garland and some other stuff I'm forgetting. I really need to curb my Christmas addiction!
That's what I was thinking.
This is for Halloween, but I'm sure the same idea could be used to make snow. If the poster has a fence, they could even put some across the top....
The only thing I can think of is to get or make some fake (plastic or fiberglass} snow, and attach steaks to the bottom to secure it to the ground.
I got some garland 70 percent off at Micheal's!
I actually forgot all about it!😳
Nutcracker napkin rings, and a few stocking stuffers.
I still want to do it, but the next big Christmas dinner I do will most likely be ham, since we all have missed it the last few years.
Covid put and end to it, and I'm working again this year. Hopefully next year.
Seriously, Ornament maven's recipe is very good. Full disclosure, I did make some changes (I didn't have the candied fruit, so I used drained Maraschino cherries), but everyone really liked it. If I...
7590 This arrived yesterday!:hopxmas:
:welcome:
Sounds lovely!
Preach it! I thought I was the only one with that problem! It was getting to the point that if I spent anymore time on the tablecloth, I wouldn't have had time to make the food!
I paid a friends mother to make the Santa sack centerpiece.
This was one of my favorites. I have since purchased some deer napkin rings and place card holders, so I'm going to redo it some time in the future. Try as I might, I couldn't get the creases out of...
