Thank you, that was thoughtful...
Excuse me but do you feel the "Magic of Christmas" all year long?

Excuse me, but Happy St. Nicholas Eve!
Excuse me, but has anyone else ever found their home is on the Christmas Lights Limo tour?
Excuse me, but I'm sorry if you don't see me on here as often. It seems I've developed some EMF hypersensitivity, so have to limit my time on devices. Poor timing!
Excuse me, but who has ever served a totally non-traditional Christmas dinner (like spaghetti or tacos, etc...)?
I suppose at that age it would seem a very nice treat. Great memory...
Excuse me, but has anyone ever actually prayed for a White Christmas? And then had it happen? I did, this year... :my lord:
Excuse me, but I wanted to wish everyone a happy Candlemas Eve. Tomorrow (Candlemas) was when the last farewells were said to the Christmas season in olden times.
Down with the rosemary and bayes,
Down with the mistletoe;
Instead of holly, now up-raise
The greener box (for show).
The holly hitherto did sway;
Let box now domineer,
Until the dancing Easter-Day
Or Easter's Eve appear.
...Thus times do shift; each thing his turn does hold;
New things succeed, as former things grow old.
-Robert Herrick- verses from Ceremonies For Candlemas Eve
And soon Christmas will be new again!
I was not aware of that tradition, thanks for sharing it... :elf1:
Excuse me, but how many decorate a tree during the year for more than just Christmas?
Excuse me, hope all is well with everyone. Since Valentines day will soon arrive Im just wondering if you decorate, or what you would put up? In the past I have notice some put on red lights on the porch or windows...I would put a heart wreath on my front door and maybe have grandkids make hearts to put up...
I have not decorated for Valentine's Day thus far. I do for St. Patrick's Day (no, I'm not Irish, I just love the concept), the 4th of July, Halloween (outside), Thanksgiving and of course Christmas... :xmascandycane:
My bad, forgot to leave one...
Excuse me, but do any of you actually throw or go to a SuperBowl Party?
We actually stay home for Superbowl and invite the kids over. We make a table filled with snacks and food. :xmascandycane:
I was actually thinking this Easter of decorating a little tree, about 2ft tall. Ive got tiny
Easter decorations for it and tiney sets of lights. Was thinking of placing grandkids baskets around it for fun..:treedance:
I only decorate a 2ft bare white tree for Easter (with small wooden crosses and Easter ornaments-great minds think alike lizziesnow!) not a Christmas-type tree for any of the other holidays.
Red lights for Valentine's day sounds nice. I don't put up any outdoor decorations for it, but I decorate a bit around the house (mainly with red candles, random ruby glass objects that I have and some red foil hearts). We mainly decorate the kitchen the night before, so we can wake up to it. Red heart mylar balloons, red roses, white roses, cards/poems, toothpicks with shiny red hearts on the top and sweets for those who want them (heart candy with sayings on them, red velvet cake shaped like a giant heart). I have the roses sitting on red foil doilies. I also put more red foil hearts up in the kitchen- I like the immersion feeling.
I am not a football fan, so I only watch the Super Bowl if my father's favorite team (NY Giants) are in it, and then we'll usually all join him in watching it, making a party of it. Do you have/go to parties for it Bishop?
I'm pretty sure I'd prefer a snow blower, but don't have one. Is there anyone who actually prefers shoveling?
I used to decorate for St. Patrick's Day, but don't really celebrate it any longer. It was too centered around heavy drinking and I didn't like the associations anymore.
I tried a St. Pat's parade in our capital city one year and it was a disappointment- pretty much just an advertising thing with hardly any creativity or decoration. You wouldn't really know what holiday it was for to look at the actual parade- except for the bagpipers (it was the same for our town's 'candlelit' Christmas parade- very disappointing).
Not a fan of traditional Irish food, but we still have reubens every year. Mmm. My mother makes them soaked in butter. :christmasdinner:
And I'm also not a big fan of Irish music. lol You wouldn't know that I'm Irish.
I do wear green on the 17th, though.
The green cellophane sounds lovely- I love color saturation. :santa: I never thought to put it in a window,
We use colored cellophane to wrap all the Easter baskets, and on Easter morning all the different colors on the kitchen table look like jewels with the sun hitting them. :smitten:
I also back up from the drinking, but still believe in the man used by God to bring Christianity to Ireland and drove out the snakes (and I love Darby O'Gill & the Little People...lol)... :shamrock:
Excuse me, but does anyone still find themselves eating Christmas candy by the time Valentines Day arrives?
I own Darby O'Gill! :elf1:
Are you kidding, when I used to ask for Christmas candy it rarely made it through Christmas Day. My father, on the other hand, just about is finishing his when Easter rolls around.
Sounds about right there Mistletoe and I own Darby as well...
Excuse me, but does anyone buy and then go through the first batch of Easter candy long before the baskets are filled? :elf1:
Excuse me, but does anyone own any 4th of July animated specials?
I do not think I've ever seen one. The closest I know of is a collection of Peanuts cartoons called "This is America Charlie Brown"... :yahoo:
Excuse me, but who has their CIJ cards all ready for sending?
oh yes!! I'm ready.
Excuse me but I just added 3 more pieces to my Hallmark 2010 Snowmen band for $10.. I love OfferUp
Nice deal!!!
Excuse me, but have you ever "bought" or made a CIJ decoration? :tree:
112? Wow...
Excuse me, but how many Hallmark movies played during CIJ did you record for later viewing? I did 26... lol :presents2:
Bishop, to answer your 2 recent questions- I have never bought or made a CIJ decoration and I've never recorded any show to watch later. I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority for both those things on here. :p
How shocking... lol.
Excuse me, but have you ever torn down and then redecorated a tree just because it did not look right or to change lighting theme? :xmaswink:
Excuse me but have you ever wrapped a gift and then had to open it because you forgot what it was or who it was for? :christmastree:
[QUOTE=Bishop1954;153500]Excuse me but have you ever wrapped a gift and then had to open it because you forgot what it was or who it was for? :christmastree:[/QUOTNot that but, placed christmas cards in wrong envelopes and had to tear them open and redo them.:elf3:
Sounds like some frustrating fun!!! lol :gingerhouse:
Excuse me, but have you ever done the tree in a particular style and then wished you had done it differently (lights, theme, etc)?
