All the stores are loaded up and ready for Easter now!!!
It's exciting. This coming Monday is Clean Monday (or Ash Monday) here so that means only 40 days left till Easter :easterjump: :happyeaster:
I guess people here aren't very excited about Easter.
I'm excited,it's not Christmas but hey it's Easter:easterjump:
I just love to see the stores all change as every different holiday approaches.
I am! In fact, I'm VERY, VERY, VERY excited! I just haven't been posting much due to a lot of health issues in the family.
I can hardly contain my excitement, but I'm forcing myself to restrain it some. I don't want to set up my Easter tree too early. I try to fool people into thinking I'm somewhat sane.
Ha! Ha!
:easterjump:
I think it's awesome that you have an Easter Tree. My view is a bit different. I prefer to reserve the "tree" exclusively for Christmas. For me, it makes it that much more significant when the time comes. I still think what you do is a cool idea though.
Easter is big here i to do a tree actually a few and my home is all decked out easter is like christmas here all the baked goodies to the big dinner it's a fun day for all.:easterjump::happyeaster:
I wonder if our daffodils will be in bloom by April eighth --- probably not until two weeks later.

Anybody have any suggestions on a fun way for kids to decorate eggs? The cups of colored dye are kind of plain.
Use a white crayon to make designs or write names on eggs before dipping.
And/or make some bunny egg holders:

More ideas:
Marbled Eggs
Speckled Eggs
Drip Eggs
Rubber Band Eggs
Colorful Chinese Tea Eggs
Stenciled Eggs
Tie Dye Eggs

We use the white crayon trick. I'll have to try some different dye options though.
we sort of tie dye some we use little rubber bands put one or two around the egg then dip and when you take them out and the rubberbands come off you have a design kids love doing these here.:elf3:
we are always trying to do different things keep the holiday fun i'm always scanning the net to find different ideas as well.:elf3:
Can you still find Russell Stover's coconut nests? That was my favorite Easter candy.

I used to buy Palmer chocolate crosses, but now I can only find Hershey's chocolate crosses.

EW...they look kinda icky to me.
Love the chocolate coconut nests - haven't seen any this year. I love jelly beans- but not the cheap kind - like the softer type
I love anything chocolate and anything coconut, but I think I'm going to avoid them the rest of my life. I want to avoid all desserts. I have to discipline myself to stay away from carbs...right now I'm addicted to bread and potatoes and it shows. Jelly beans never enticed me.
I love chocolate and coconut too!!! At first glance those "nests" just don't look tasty. I'm sure they taste great though!

@ Marshmallow World
I just checked TrendyTree again as I would like a couple more of the little fuzzy owls I ordered last year ... but they're still on back order. Thank you for jolting my memory :elf3:
MW .. I luv that ... so cute !!!
:easterjump:
It is such an easy craft that I am tempted to do something similar since I've not done any crafts since Christmas.... but without the glitter. I luv glitter and lots of it but for Christmas only.
I did a search and I've seen lots of Easter Egg topiaries since ... same principle as that one but with slight variations ... pastel colours, faux chocolate etc. I don't usually do much Easter decorating except for lots of fresh flowers throughout the house but I just might do a vignette this year .... :elf3:
