When it gets really hot outside I miss Christmas so much, so I tend to turn on a little christmas music in the dead of summer, but I really start listening around the end of October. :carols:
Nope - Christmas is made more special by the fact it only comes once a year. I don't think I'd get the feeling that I do when I listen to Christmas music, if I listened to any time of year. It's part of my countdown. It is a homing beacon, a siren wailing at me that Christmas is on the way! The feelings I get are directly related to that anticipation, that magical buzz that I get with the close proximity of Christmas time.
ETA: This is with the exception of Tim Minchin's song, 'White Wine in the Sun'. This I play daily as it gets my babies to sleep. Haha :-)
In some parts of Aussie some people have a BBQ for Xmas dinner and lie in the sun more then they play in the snow lol!Quote:

It seriously gotta be Xmas already, I've just came back to Lanzarote Xmas lights were up Band Aid playing in the bar an I'm home in the UK, an I just can't escape Xmas tunes now, at this rate we'll be celebrate Halloween, Bonfire Night, Children In Need, Crimbo n New Year at da same time over here, lol.

My sons love Christmas music we listen to it all year long in the car.
I probably replied to this thread a couple years or so ago, but no, I don't listen all year long. I think this would make this wonderful, special music seem not as special at Christmas time. Looking forward to hearing it, along with the tree and decorations, etc... is part of the buildup to the excitement of Christmas and the Christmas season for me. But, I must admit, Christmas tunes very frequently play in my head throughout the year.:elf1:
