Well, my hometown (Maidstone, Kent, UK) has today, Christmas Day 2013, been hit by its largest flood since the 1960s. This comes after the largest storm since 1987 which hit us on Monday night which brought down trees and caused a lot of damage to the local area. My family are fortunate, we weren't one of over 17,000 families in Kent who are spending today without electricity, so I'm very thankful for that. We have another severe storm forecast for tomorrow night, so we are expecting more damage to come.
Well, I'm just glad that we managed to get through Christmas Day with power and without the stormy weather we've been seeing recently and will be seeing again shortly. The aftermath of the Christmas Day flooding in the town centre certainly isn't going to be a pretty sight, though.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAGvaI6b3zA
Weather here today was cold and dry. We had some snow flurries last night wich made it festive
We had 5 inches of Christmas Eve snow! It was BEAUTIFUL...like a movie! Yesterday morning, my son wanted to go out and see if there were any Polar Express tracks in the road! The next couple days are supposed to be very nice before we head into a sub-zero deep freeze by next Monday. UGH!!!
Thousands of homes and businesses in my hometown have been wrecked by the Christmas Day flooding, with another severe storm forecast for Boxing Day night.
Here are some photographs from around the UK taken on Christmas Day, showing areas devastated by flooding: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...oxing-Day.html

Thank you! A white Christmas would be nice some time, lol!
Been a cold day, had a frost again last night about 2c all day..
Well, the floods in my town have now dropped significantly, although there is still a a lot of damage to clear up, as well as two more storms forecast for this week, including one tomorrow (Monday) morning, which will continue until New Year's Eve, and then another at the weekend.
Temperatures are remaining unbelievably mild as we head into January. It's usually well below zero at this time of year, but I went out in a t-shirt today.
