Looked for Christmas bedding online.
My Christmas books came:presents1:
Looked on-line at this year's Hallmark ornaments
I always buy in July as well. I personally collect the Madame Alexander doll series; and for my daughters, I always buy the Puppy Love series and the Fairy Messenger series. Such beautiful, whimsical ornaments. I am always tempted to buy more, but my main tree can barely hold the weight of all my ornaments as it is! I have a separate tree for the Madame Alexander ornaments!
What abou you? Any series?
Do you put up more than one tree? ......because it sounds like it will fill up fast! I love collecting ornaments - hence my name -ornamentmaven! But, I will be 60 this year, so I am trying to tone things down a bit! Certain things I won't give up on however - like my Hallmark ornaments. I will have to check out your series in the Dream Book!
We also set up 3 trees - the main tree - on the living room - has EVERYTHING on it. A 4 foot white tree in my bedroom is for my Madame Alexander ornaments (3 different series), and then a small 2 foot tree which is decorated with small Rudolph ornaments. I really like your Heavenly Belles ornament; but did you know that this is its final year!
yes. I saw that this was the last year for the Heavenly Belles. :sad elf:I really don't understand why Hallmark is doing a bunch or short series lately. I did see the Tea Time series that starts this year. As an avid tea drinker I thought it was really cute. (also going to be a 5 part series)
I didn't realize that they pre-planned the length of each series. I guess I always thought they simply based it on sales. Although some of them would be obvious in length. I have been lucky - my Madame Alexander is on it's 21st year, the Puppy Love series is on its 26th and the Fairy Messenger is on its 12th. For my younger daughter, I started several short lived series before we settled on the Fairy Messengers. I am always impressed by the Frosty Friends series which is on its 37th year. I was given the 1st and 7th in that series as gifts and wish I had kept up with them. The first one is worth over $500 now.
The Tea Time ornament is very cute. Do you collect miniature ornaments as well? I was looking at the Heirloom Angels which also starts this year!
I just finished looking through all my Christmas photobooks
I just made some instant apple cider and I'm going to watch "Matchmaker Santa" while I surf this site
Does thinking about Christmas time count? :home::christmastree::familytree:
I was just viewing Lemax's village collection for 2016. As many of you know, I have a large village I set up at Christmas time. I haven't added any new houses in 3 or 4 years. Lemax has some nice ones this year - including a Brewery and a Gift Shop. I know I shouldn't add to my collection, but it is so hard to resist! I guess I have about 35 houses. I have a good friend who has at least 400 houses in her collection. She has so many, she can't really even set them up as a village. She ends up stacking them on multiple tall bookcases. Can't wait to set it up in my new home this year!
made a reindeer craft with my daughter.
Was viewing on-line the selection of nutcrackers available this year. Target usually has a great, inexpensive line of nutcrackers. I like to add one each year. Maybe I'll add two this year since didn't buy one last year. I've decided that for 2016, I will only buy 3 Hallmark ornaments (1 for myself and 2 for my daughters), 1 village house, and 1 or 2 nutcrackers.
Wrote an article on my Christmas blog, about the book " The snow queen"

So cute!
I got word of a 50-75% off sale on Yankee Candles - so I picked up two as small Christmas gifts. One candle is a Peeps Marshmallow scented one - regularly $28, I paid only $7. It is one of the gifts I purchase for my older daughter - who is addicted to Peeps!
Happy Birthday to Me!! :yahoo:

Been looking on-line for nutcrackers to add to my collection.
I am searching for craft ideas. Every year I like to make a few new ornaments. I especially like beaded ornaments. Any suggestions??
