Catching up on here! Watched America's Got Talent Finale last night. The winner was 12 year old girl from Suffern, NY. Suffern is the town next to my old town - only 2 miles away from Sloatsburg - same schools. People there are so excited for her!

Well wrapped a few Christmas gifts earlier, then I made up my Christmas card list - I like to have my cards done by Veteran's Day (11/11)

About to wrap 4 more Christmas presents. That will make 9 bought and wrapped, one on order and 11 more to purchase (5 of these are gift cards). I'm almost half way there! I like to be almost done by Thanksgiving!

Can't stop making Christmas plans! I get a bit obsessed at this time of year - it will get worse in 2 weeks, once Halloween is over! I have been stocking up on ingredients for my Christmas cookies; getting ready to start addressing Christmas cards; and buying and wrapping gifts and decorations. I have 10 gifts wrapped and three on order. Only 9 more gifts to buy - and 5 of them are gift cards - so I seem to be in great shape!

Just watched Christmas with the Kranks. I' have been planning my Christmas strategy. On Tuesday, the Halloween decs come down and Thanksgiving decs go up. I will spend the rest of the week addressing Christmas cards. During the following week, we have to deal with the presidential election, Veteran's Day and Christmas shopping (hopefully I'll be done) and wrapping. Then I'll be concentrating my efforts the next two weeks on Thanksgiving preps and cleaning as guests start to arrive the Tuesday before Turkey Day. I'll also get my annual Christmas newsletter written, copied and stuffed into my cards. Traditionally, I start to put up Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving - that usually takes 4 days, but may take longer this year as it is a new house. I'll bake my fruitcake on the last day of November. In December, I'll bake about 7 batches of cookies, buy stocking stuffers, mail cards and a few packages, make New Years Eve plans, finalize menus, take drives to see the lights and generally enjoy the season! I don't know why I just typed out this entire agenda - but it makes me feel more organized and spirited!
