Yes I was trying to mow lawn before it got really hot out but my lawn mower wouldn't work. By the time my son got it going and running again, I decided to do lawn just incase it might not get started again, by then it was hot and I went for it...I kept on thinking of colder weather...I don't like the hot weather much anymore...I was melting out there, but the lawn looks great...:snowman:

FINALLY a day without rain! And actually warm! We may even hit 90! Now that July/summer is just about over. :mad:
Though, I've been thinking of you guys out west- I went outside because I wanted to take in the haziness, only to get a deep breath of smog that smelled like burning plastic. They say it's the smoke from all the burning out your way.
I'm trying to remember that it's better to have the rain and coolness than the searing heat/drought/fires that you all are having. But facing 9 months of cold coming up, without a proper summer... :crying:

Out of the next 10 days, 5 have rain and will be highs in the 70's. :rain: And that's an improvement.
I would love some days of 100 degree weather. Something that could make me say "Ahhh...Fall".

The foliage on some of the trees and burning bushes started to change color around the end of July, when we were still in the cool, rainy weather. I was surprised- I thought all that happened based on the hours of light/dark- I didn't think it happened by temperature. It did halt when the weather finally started to get warm and the sun finally came out, but my asters are blooming now prematurely. I wonder if they'll still be around when the foliage does finally change completely...which normally happens in October here.
We've been hovering in the low 80's with sun lately, but a chance of rain is forecast for every day. Have been getting a lot of thunderstorms and a couple days ago we had a tornado come down from Massachusetts (didn't hit us down in the valley).
110... and my crazy husband is out playing golf. I hope he doesn't come home with one of those silly sunburns where his face is two different shades due to his sunglasses.

I'm so depressed looking at the 10 day forecast- all 60's and 70's, with of course rain in there.
The entire winter could be cloudy and I'd be happy (suggesting maybe snow). But my summers HAVE to be sunny and warm! And maybe I could deal with an occasional sun shower.
The trees here have started to turn colors again.

We usually get your weather a few days after you- weird to get it kind of at the same time. We have rain now (not sure how, since it's cold out there!). Tomorrow will be 60 and Saturday will go down to 36. Better than your 16!
Christmas is supposed to be in the low 30's, but no snow forecast until the day after! :elf2:
As of the moment, 21 degrees. The look ahead has only one day above freezing, so hopefully the snow will remain on the yard to complete a White Christmas... :waving:
