Does anyone else have a creche?

yes, I now have two. Just got a small one at a yard sale. The only camera I have, however, is sitting atop my computer monitor. I don't think it could reach far enough to take a pic of either one. I wish I could take a pic to display. By the way, your creche is so beautiful, I've never seen one like that. And I love the palm trees.

Here's our son's creche:

And here is the Natvity scene that's on our mantle. My grandmother gave me this set one year for Christmas and I have always loved it:

Thank you...and just because you like them, I'll sneak this photo in here (this isn't how I display them; I put them together for the photo):

Thanks Linda! :waving: The children's nativity is all one piece that we display on the baker's rack in our kitchen. Once our son is older we'll let him put it out in his room. The white porcelain set is always on our mantle and my wife puts the extra tree branches on after we get our tree. We usually "hide" baby Jesus until Christmas Day, but I wanted to make sure he was in the photo.

LOL! I would do it, too, except my husband might kill me and then the grandkiddes would be very sad. How's that for an excuse?

You know I'm jealous because you have a mantle. If I hid baby Jesus from anyone, it would take me at least ten years to find Him!

I may have to take out my toy one and photograph it. But wait! Which box is it in? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v723/Idnam/All%20Things%20Christmas/boxofornaments.gif

This is my Nativity - my late husband got it for me back in the late 60's - it is a family treasure. Next to it is my angel tree that stays up all year ......

Thank you Bob - I am told it is worth quite a bit of money but it will stay in the family. I just love it and even tho I have remarried it brings back so many pleasant memories of Christmases with my late husband  I really need to scan in the picture of the year that our cat managed to find her place in the scene and didn't knock any of the wisemen down - it was so precious - a true Kodak moment :) ....

I love that Nativiaty MW. Is it made out of wood It looks like it!

Merry Christmas Darling
12-15-2008, 11:00 PM
Yes, it's carved from wood and if I ever give it away, our youngest daughter wants it. That's the one she remembers from her childhood. It was made in Taiwan but looks a lot like the German one at this link:

You never found it? You probably will when you start packing every thing up.
