Well, at the risk of me getting tossed from ATC and if you are willing to slip into the 60s...

"Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/santa_claus_conquers_the_martians/)" from 1964.

Got to admit though, the opening tune is killer!

Maybe this one will redeem me.

This one is shown on TCM from time to time...

From 1940 - "Remember the Night (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/remember_the_night/)"

I have Santa Clause and the Martians on DVD!!!! It's indeed a funny film, that tries to bridge Santa as a Hero Character with SCI FI. A classic.

Seems like most everything is on You Tube these days. But for a break from the traditional, try Mr Magoo's Christmas Carol... :tree1:

The Bishop's Wife looks like it might be entertaining- I will have to check that out. And Mr Magoo's Christmas Carol. :santa-smiley:

Even when I am not exactly in the best of Christmas moods, The Bishop's Wife never ceases to make me both smile and at the end get very emotional (don't tell anyone)... :xmaswink:

The end of the Bishop's Wife surprised me. And the movie made me want to go out and be nice to people. :smiling angel:

It was a very touching ending and the thought of completing the sermon that David Niven began has been on my mind for some time... :xmaseyeroll:

As in you giving the completed sermon?

As in you giving the completed sermon?

If I felt directed, yes. But for the most part, just composing it to see how I would be inspired... :my lord:

Well, I did my share in the military. On the radio, training seminars and briefings to the staff... :xmaswink:
