We got our first snowfall of the season Tuesday night! It left a white dusting that gradually was rained away. Today we had periodic flurries. I wish it would save it all up for at least the day after Thanksgiving.

The weathermen were wrong the other day- we were supposed to get a dusting at night, but instead it snowed all day and we got 6+ inches. So pretty. They said today was supposed to be a Nor'easter snowstorm, but in typical December fashion, it's now raining and has melted most of the snow. No snow in sight- just some rain next Thurs and Fri. I hope they're wrong again!

Winter Storm Elliott is only supposed to bring us rain- high of 55F tomorrow, but dropping down to 10F at night, so possibly a flash freeze. Christmas Eve and Day will be in the 20's as a high, but sunny. I would have liked a white Christmas, but glad travel won't be as much of an issue and REALLY glad not to be shoveling in such cold temps! Keeping our fingers crossed that we don't lose power over the holiday due to the high winds.

April showers bring May flowers. The April rain was late in coming, so we'll probably have a wet May. And we seem to have more flowers in April than in May- May is mainly green.

We have had a nice week of semi-warm up (for Jan-Feb it is almost shorts weather). Today it will be 45 degrees and the next seven days the upper 40's to low 50's. I know Winter is not even close to being over, but an early, gradual snow melt off is preferred to a fast on come Spring... :snowman:

Back to being cooler. Yesterday was either high 50's or low 60's! It started giving me spring fever, which I didn't want because I've been enjoying February and winter. And I knew we were going back down into the 30's for the next couple weeks. The air smelled so good though yesterday. We're due to have some snow on Tuesday, though- I hope it sticks!

I agree with the fast oncome of spring. The year we had 80 degree days in March threw off the whole growing cycle that year.
