Hello !! And Thanks for your warm welcome.:waving:

Snowman, is an animated movie, very popular in Britain !! ..
Its about a little boy who makes a snowman on Christmas Eve.
The film is wordless and lasts only 26 minutes. You will love the music, the pictures..

Mine are:
Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
A Charlie Brown Christmas
The Nutcracker ( I like several versions but am fond of the 1992 version because I saw it when I was eight and have loved it since then)
Meet me in St. Louis (I'm not sure if this counts as a Christmas movie but it airs on Turner Classic Movies in December so...)
Plus I like when old sitcoms air their Christmas episodes.

Haha I thought I was the only one that likes when they do that. For some reason around July there are alot of these particular episodes, I just watched a Seinfeld episode set around xmas time

Thats right! Duh, I should have put two and two together. Thats interesting, I'd like to know what shows are on that tape, maybe a show or two that hasnt been syndicated or played in a while. Let us know if you dig it up :candycane1:

gummgirl

Okay I found one tape which has:
2 episodes of Full House
1 episode of Family Matters

Somewhere I have a tape with The Brady Bunch episode and
The Saturday Night Live episode with Candice Bergen (sp?) from the 1970's. And I'm sure I have other SNL Christmas episodes recorded. I went through a phase and that was all I watched!

See my problem is I'll record something and then get tired of it so I'll record over it and then I'll go back to liking the thing I liked before and get mad because I've recorded over it.

MacShirts
08-07-2009, 04:03 AM
Lol thats great, those shows were my favorites growing up. I know what you mean, I'm kinda going throught a phase like that now, I just loaded up a few Christmas episodes on my phone, so whenever I get a spare minute at my boring job Ill load it up :p I think my favorite Christmas themed episode is from the show Futurama, its called A Tale of Two Santas...you should check it out if you can :D

I have always loved Rudolph. It will always have a special place in my heart - but when I was little I was terrified of the Abominable Snowman - I used to run from the living room and hide in the hall until he was gone.

I'm amazed I wasn't frightened by the Bumble, when I was a kid, but I wasn't. My youngest nephew was staying with us when he was three and I put him into bed with the Rudolph DVD to watch and went in a bit later and he was quietly sobbing, because of the Bumble! I felt so bad to think I scared him with a Christmas special, but he loves it, now. :candycane1:

Santa Claus the move, that is such a great movie i saw it the night it opened in the theaters back in the 80's... One of my fav parts is when Burgess Meredith who plays the ancient elf talks with Santa

Anyone here ever watched the 1959 Mexican film, Santa Claus? Wild and very different, but has some really cool moments in the film. I think it's horribly dubbed, but it seems the dubbed version is the only version you can get.
