OK...post here when you have officially made your first Christmas purchase for the year. I got my wife a Christmas gift online yesterday. When it arrives, I will begin the "hiding" process for the next 7 months or so! HAHA!! :xmaswink:

I usually start over the summer months or if I happen to see something perfect in the meantime. Nothing out there right now is shouting "Buy me!"

Yeah...I had an online coupon for something she would never ask for. I just wanted to get it out of the way while I had the money and I was still thinking of it.

So this weekend I have ordered a Willow Tree figurine for my parents and ordered some wool to make a blanket for them, a games compendium for my in laws and for my little girl, Frozen jigsaw puzzle, table and stool set, and a cupcake decorating kit.

Already researched for hubbys presents, he loves Sherlock Holmes so getting him the latest film. Phew what a weekend! :elf1:

Great job Penny Berry. The most I've done is make up a list of ideas. Feeling a little behind!

Wow - The only gifts I've purchased so far are the Hallmark ornaments I get for my daughters every year: The Puppy Love and Fairy Messenger series ornaments!

Well, I ended up giving it to her early. I thought I would be home when it was delivered, but she beat me home that day. When I walked through the door she said, "Now, remind me what this package is?" I ended up caving and letter her open it early. :o

Wow, hiding it for 7 months. This is quite a challenge. I hope that you've managed to keep it safe from the woman's sharp intuition.

I usually get the presents on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, but not always to be honest.

I usually wait to start buying until the first of November. Then it dawns on me that if I don't do it now I'll be shopping the last weekend before Christmas... again!!

Ordered another 6 gifts yesterday - a new leash and new harness for my dog; blue jeans for my husband; some cookware for my daughter; a scarf for other daughter and a wallet for her boyfriend. Looks like I may get most of my shopping done online this year. Have to buy 26 gifts (not counting stuffers) for 10 people. I have 14 gifts purchased - so I'm more than half-way done! Yay!!!

We went out about 2 weeks ago and got a good start to our shopping. This past weekend, I placed an online order for CB and I'm hoping this weekend or sometime, next week, we can get out and finish the shopping.

I'm still waiting for 3 gifts to arrive in the mail - should all be here by tomorrow. Then I only have 3 more to purchase (plus stuffers) locally - 2 gift cards and a bottle of rum! One quick trip to a drug store and a liquor store and I will be done. I've been wrapping as I purchase, so I am in really good shape and can avoid the frustration of shopping at this time of year!

Thinking of buying a new schoolbag for my 5-year-old niece.
