How are you doing with your shopping?

I still need to purchase a gift card for my Mother-in-law. That is it! I'm waiting for two gifts to arrive in the mail - otherwise I am done and wrapped!

This year particularly, everyone seems to have everything they could want or need. Even after searching online and specialty gift shops I'm still short two stocking stuffers... :elf2:

I have to add that I'm grateful that we don't need or want anything particularly, but darn it, it makes giving difficult!

yes, I am all finished. plus, I have all the stocking candy and have separated it and sorted it already into ziploc bags and hidden them.

I "assigned" my mother-in-law's gift card to my husband to pick up, so I am now technically done! One gift has arrived by mail and am still waiting for one more!

This year, for the first time, I did quite a bit of shopping online. I am now officially hooked! It made things SO easy. However, it also made it easy to go over budget! Ooops!

Yes. But something I ordered in the beginning of December has been sitting at the post office in the southern end of our state for 2 weeks and has not moved!

I know how that feels. Something I ordered in November, arrived yesterday. I'll send it today, but obviously it will not be there until after Christmas... :presents3:

Better question in this forum, at this date... Have you begun your Christmas shopping this year? :xmashigh5:

I am almost done, just have my other bestie to go. I want to get her one of the vintage barbies she wants, but she plans on shopping for one next weekend. So I have to wait and see what she buys first.

I am all done and everyone's gotten spoiled. I can't wait to see my best friend's face when she opens her gift, a 3D printer. And I bought my other Bestie her childhood doll she's wanted to replace since she lost it in a flood. The real struggle is keeping it all a secret from them until We see each other.

I have to pick one up tomorrow and then I have one more to go (but it's usually the hardest one to figure out).

Just a couple of stocking stuffers to go. I send quite a few stockings each year and did not count properly for the "extras". The good side is the ones remaining are local... :snowman:

You mail them? How nice!

I just found out that we ARE exchanging gifts this year (other than getting for the kids of the family), so I've been researching, shopping and ordering away the last 2 days. Good thing I've continued to collect gift ideas for people over these last 3 years. My father is the last one, but unfortunately really difficult. But it's felt so good to Christmas shop again! :presents1:

Understandable. My favorite when I was growing up, was the stocking. So, I guess sharing them with others is so cool. :presents1:

By the way, I took your idea from the small gift thread- I got my father an electric wine opener. :elf1:

My favorite was always the stocking, too! I love that you do that.

I stopped into Michael's tonight to see if they still had the nutcracker I decided not to buy the other day and then later regretted it. They didn't. Their Christmas stuff was barely there- it was all Spring! :crying:

I did settle on something, but it wasn't what I would have chosen normally.
I had saved ideas for everyone, but then in the moment some of them didn't seem like the right thing this year.
I have to try and solidify things earlier so I don't run into that again (that, and not be sick for half of the run up to Christmas!)
On the bright side, I do have some ideas for next Christmas' gifts. :elf1:

Sorry to hear you were not up to par as the magic day approached. Early ideas are always great. I leave part of my office closet open to store next year's gifts. Already got one... :home:
