My living room is not exactly huge so I have limited space to work with. We have a cat so no tinsel and there is no theme that is why everything is kind of all over the place.

The tree is sitting on a box with a holiday fleece covering the box up. A wreath is underneath and the Christmas plate is from the dollar store but I sit it out each year.

And this next picture is of something I did on my blog. Just a crafty thing I tried, I like it :)

Anyhow it may not be the biggest tree and may not make sense but I like it :tree1:

Thanks I like the crafty hanging decoration too. Someday I might invest in different ornaments for a more themed tree but for a now I am ok with using some stuff from the 80s and the few things I bought lol

I've been out on my own for 5 years but just never find the time to try and buy stuff to make things look nicer. And you are right with gifts and entertaining family and friends its hard to set aside much money to buy decorations. I like being creative so I hope to have more crafty ideas.

Your little tree is sweet! I have several trees but they're all small. Your tablecloth reminded me of this one in 2006:

Very traditional tree! It reminds me of the trees we had when we first married in 1979. Many of our early ornaments were from the 1980's

Cute tree and nice tablecloth! In my picture the tree actually has a fleece blanket under it. its very small but I figured it would work nicely :)

Our living room is a bit of a mess to be honest. Nothing is really themed everything is kind of just random. We live in a 2 bedroom apartment so since everything is random I figured the tree might as well be random too.

I watched the video you linked and enjoyed the ideas for decorations. Sadly the tree can't be raised higher because it is about 7 inches I would say from touching the ceiling (Ceiling slants) My branches are not fully looking that great in a few spots but I am not sure how I feel about taking decorations down to make the branches fuller. I have such limited space to work with, that is the only spot the tree can go in now that our freezer is in the living room.

Still though thanks for the suggestions :)

This is true. I have never shopped during Boxing Day. I guess I use that day to relax but it will depend on money. Good point though

I have other holiday fleece blankets to. There is a cute one with a polar bear sledding with a penguin but its the cats now, she sleeps on it often. That one was my only small one and I didn't want anything to big, seeing that the tree is only 3 feet :elf1:

Here is a little something on my boyfriends bookshelf

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b98/beatle_lover86/101_0006.jpg

Since there is lack of room I am not flooding his space with to much Christmas stuff. Those are my cards this season so far. And to the left is a little basket I found at the dollar store and inside of it are tiny wrapped presents, also found from the dollar store.

I still got a ways to go, I am not sure when I will be doing the other decorating though :tree:

The lack of room makes it hard to put much else but thats what I did for this year and I thought it looked ok. Maybe next year I will theme it a bit better, we shall see :)

Thanks, it does look festive :) But yeah lack of space makes it hard... I would like to do some different decorating with different stuff but the little bit of room makes it hard.

Thank you. Those snowglobes stay out all year round usually lol, I got them for Christmas back in 2007 and still go them on display :)
