So far, the majority of gifts that I've bought are from mail order catalogs. For children under six, I can usually find a toy locally. For instance, I've purchased Playskool Roll 'n' Pop Express and Thomas and Friends Sodor Engine Wash.

Where do you do most of your shopping?

I do most of my shopping online as I can get better deals even with shipping charges. Even though we don't have Walmart and Target here I still shop online from them and have my sister send me my purchases over. Somethings are hard to give up.

I buy alot of hard-to-find, or unique items, on-line. Ordinary stuff, I buy at Walmart, Target, Best Buy or whatever clothing store my daughters are into now!

This year I found Christmas decs very disappointing locally and for the first time bought online.

I've also ordered a couple of small items not available here as gifts for my sons...... but usually I just shop local.:elf2:

I like to shop online to save time and gas and I can shop anytime of day that way. I can also shop from places such as Harrods in London online that would be impossible for me otherwise.

The one five-year-old grandson will get the T & F Sodor Engine Wash; today we bought a Lego set for our other five-year-old grandson.

:presents1: We're certainly making progress. I'll send money to our daughter for her autistic preschooler, because we never know what to buy and postage is expensive.

Sounds good!

Yeah...I only live about 15 minutes away from MOA, so it's a regular place for me to shop.

This year I've been using mail-order catalogs, online shopping, and local shopping. I love any kind of shopping! When my knee hurts, I grab a cart for support.

I guess the merchandizing of the holiday has ingrained Macy's into my head because I will make two of three tips their every season when shopping for my girlfriend, mom, or sister. Other than that, I'll head to Best Buy (for electronics) or Kohls (for clothing and apparel) I am smack in the middle of about 6 malls so, when I am feeling brave enough to deal with the traffic, I will head to one of them.

I don't do much shopping, but I buy most things online, often at amazon. If I go to a b&m store, it's likely going to be Walmart since it's closer than other stores.

I generally do alot of shopping through Ebay and Walmart but, this year I'm going to try and do something a little different. I'm also a member at the Halloween Forum and this last Halloween season they did something called "Secret Reaper" which is very similar to the Secret Santa. Many people purchased items from second hand stores and re-purposed them. Those gifts seemed to be the most loved. I think I'm going to try and do that for each person on my christmas list. I love crafts of any kind so it might work. We shall see ;)

Lol. I normally shuffle between the Garden State Plaza, Rockaway Mall, Willowbrook, and Palisades -- and as Bing says, the Traffic is terrific. I have been going to these malls since I was a kid. Nothing says the Holidays like going in circles around the same parking lot a dozen times looking for a spot or driving at 1mph in the car while stalking behind a shopper with bags and waiting for them to get to their car so you can take the spot.

I am actually considering getting a few gifts off Groupon to be honest. I wanted to last year, but completely slipped my mind. I really only shop for my mom, sister, brother and now his wife. They have some really great stuff on there at good deals. LivingsSocial is in the same realm but I dont use them as much.

Oh yes - many times, especially at the Palisades Mall and the Garden State Mall! And we're not talking about little parking lots here, as they are some of the biggest malls in the USA

I honestly do most of my shopping online at Amazon and Gamestop. It is easy and they have free shipping, you can't go wrong.

I usually buy small personalized gifts from ornamentsandmore.com. For other gifts I try to scout the market, as I like to gift unique stuff to my family...makes their smile long.
